We believe:
- The Bible is the inspired and only infallible Word of God. It is steadfast and unchangeable. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
- There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 1 John 5:7
- In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life and His miracles. Luke 1:35; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Mark 16:20
- Christ died for man’s sins and on the third day was resurrected. He ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. We look forward to Christ’s future return (Second Coming) to this earth in power and glory. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Mark 16:19; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17
- All men by their nature and their acts are sinners and have broken God’s righteous requirements/laws. Therefore, men are under God’s wrath and just condemnation. The reason for the coming of Jesus Christ was that while we were yet sinners, He died for us, took our place and with His life’s blood, He purchased the pardon for all who would believe in Him. Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12,23; Jn 3:16; Titus 2:14
- Salvation is wholly through grace and is offered as a free gift to the sinner. This gift must be responded to by individual repentance and faith in the blood of Christ and His sacrificial death. Man cannot trust in any personal works or human righteousness. Ephesians 2:8
- The Baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to all believers who ask for it. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to exalt God and live a life set apart for Him.
- Both the saved and the lost (unsaved) will be resurrected. The saved will be resurrected to eternal life and the lost will be resurrected to eternal and everlasting damnation. 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:11-12
- That all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10
- That the term “marriage” has only one meaning and that is marriage sanctioned by God, which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, covenantal union, as delineated in Scripture. That God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. That God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. That any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication, homosexual conduct, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, any use of pornography or any attempt to change one’s sex, or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God. Matthew 19:4-6; 1 Corinthians 7:2; Genesis 2:24; Hebrews 13:4; Leviticus 18:22-23; Galatians 5:19-21, Colossians 3:5
- That God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. That every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Jesus Is Alive Church. Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31
